MONSTER VS ROCKSTAR VS RED BULL

Uncover the truth...

Energy drinks have always been a popular choice with today's youth, but which one is really better? What is better? What would be better in this case? Would you sacrifice taste over energy? or energy over taste? Which drink is safer?

Each of these brands provide alternatives to their most popular with lower sugar contents and different flavoring. However, we did not include these since the majority of sales obviously come from the flagship product of each brand. (I.E. - Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero etc.)

We took 1000 Monster Drinkers, 1000 Rockstar Drinkers, 1000 Red Bull Drinkers, 1000 people who had no specific preference and 1000 non energy drinkers.  Like most of these product's customers, our demographic was made up of mainly teenagers. Since most of us have more energy in the am and less in the pm, this study took place mid-day. We tried to reach as many areas of this debate as we could. The results? -

JiPoshy Recommends

Even though Monster won the taste test we still picked Red Bull for it's energy duration. After all isn't that what drinking energy drinks is all about? Monster performed best on it's bad to good ingredient ratio, while Red Bull performed worst. Rockstar performed second in taste and ingredients but had the worst energy output.

Interesting Facts
  • Did you know that drinking a glass a water before any caffeinated drink will combat any crash you may experience? Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor, which means it shrinks your blood vessels. This causes your blood pressure to raise (hot flashes) and accelerates heart rate. Staying hydrated is the key to staying awake.
  • Since caffeine can cause you to become dehydrated quickly, it's also important to stay hydrated if you are trying to lose weight. Not drinking enough water while consuming caffeine can cause your body to go into dehydration mode. This means your body will retain water for survival and ultimately gain water weight.
