A HEALTHY ALTERNATIVE TO SOUNDDRAIN (SOUNDCLOUD DOWNLOADER)

Lurkers seek an alternative to SoundDrain for Soundcloud tracks.

We recently did an article on SoundClouds headshot on SoundDrain, but what we didn't expect was the people being directed to that article for an alternative to the MP3 downloader. We've done some research and found some websites trying to cash in on the web traffic SoundDrain had. We've compiled a guide on where to go now and what to avoid. 

So what's the alternatives to SoundDrain? We've listed some along with their online status If you have any you know about please share with us and the community. 

Soundcloud-Download.com -  This online mp3 converter used to be the number 2 choice behind SoundDrain, now the site has apparently went offline with it's converter being completely useless. It will not convert your mp3's. Beware because the site may be run by SoundCloud's people or the RIAA. 

SoundYum.com -  We strongly advise to stay away from this site at all cost! This site ask you to paste the link in for the song you want to download, then gives you links that look like download buttons. These links are ads and one actually gives you an .exe file. The file was scanned by 4 different antivirus who all identified it as a trojan virus. Think about it, why would you need a .exe program file? To install what? WE JUST WANT THE MP3! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

Anything2MP3.com -  Works like a charm. This site does display ads as mp3 download buttons so be careful you're hitting the right button. We tried 10 different songs and were able to download the mp3's immediately with no strings attached. Here's a screenshot below to make sure you have the right site.
