Returning home to Louisiana was supposed to be a pleasant experience, but Jessabelle had no idea something wicked was waiting for her. The video tape her father gave her was of her late mother shortly before her untimely death. Her mother has kind words for the most part, but then things take a strange turn. Her mother pulls out some tarot cards and reveals her daughter will experience a horrific death. Since watching the tape, strange things have been happening in the home and Jessabelle quickly realizes she is not alone after all.
